Out the Front

On a warm spring evening out in front of their home our parents enjoy the setting sun. Not too many opportunities to enjoy a little air together what with one things an another. The demands of dialysis change the dynamics of a family be it two people of five. There are home carers coming in and out twice a day and doctor appointments to be attended to. This life leaves little time for moments alone together.
Dad reached 93 last Saturday and is looking forward to another family party on the 30th of the month when his nephew will come from Australia to visit him and present him with a special document from the Returned Serviceman's League of Australia.
We will come from Calgary and join them with a BBQ at Barry's house. Our children who are grown and in their 30's are lucky to have grandparents who are both alive and able to spent some time with them. Too soon things will be different.
