Dad's Special Weekend

This will be a special time coming up this week end. Dad has just turned 93 and his nephew Tony has come over from Australia via Hawaii to make a presentation to Dad. Tony has done a lot in Australia to get Dad recognized for his WWII efforts and his heroism and bravery. Dad flew in the RAF Austalia airforce and was a radio operator and gunner on a Sunderland aircraft. He and the crew were shot down over the Bay of Biscay one morning . That will be another story I will tell here soon.
However, this weekend will be a party with people coming from Alberta and parts unknown. We have a big prime rib ready to go on the barbie and lots and lots of fine wine (thank you Erin) and good company and lots of stories.
Ashley has her fabulous hot new car with all the toys, she is taking it out on a test drive or should I say an initiate drive. Bryan and I will be taking our new car out for its first highway run and the sun will be shining and the asparagus ready to buy in the fruit stands.
